'Slick and hazardous' | Winter Storm Watch issued for Kentucky, southern Indiana
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A winter storm watch will go into effect Monday evening for a portion of the WHAS11 viewing area. The National Weather Service issued the watch Sunday night. According to the NWS, significant amounts of snow with accumulations greater than four inches is expected. The watch is in effect until 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Winter storm watch for Northern Michigan for Wednesday and Thursday – up to 8 inches of snow
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch at 2:37 a.m. EST on Tuesday valid from Wednesday 1 p.m. EST until Thursday 7 a.m. EST for Alpena, Alcona, Ogemaw, Iosco, Gladwin and Arenac counties.
States to the north will see the brunt of the ice storm heading to the Midwest this week. Kentucky will see mostly rainfall and thunderstorms.
