Speaking to Newsweek in an exclusive interview, the Vice President of Product for the Roblox Corporation has weighed in on the Rthro vs Blocky avatar debate.

Roblox has a reputation for turning out blocky, Lego-esque creations that suit its name, but artist and designer Everest Pipkin has managed to create an ethereal aesthetic out of it.

But Roblox’s user-generated content developers have resorted to a 2D approach or the ‘blocky’ look favored by Minecraft. The tools work on iOS, Android, or the PC.
