My last article, “Java XML and JSON: Document processing for Java SE, Part 1” introduced a variety of document transformation and processing techniques using SAXON and Jackson.
The code examples I’ll show are based on the core JDK implementation (and as such are licensed under GPL). The first step, shown in Listing 1, is to check the number of available processors (cores).
