The White Lotus began to work with the Avatar in order to bring about peace and prosperity in the world. As with everything else, they did this discretely.

Yet nothing feels rushed in “Enter The Void” and “Venom Of The Red Lotus,” primarily because the writers have done such great work building these stories over the course of the season.

However, it is revealed that the White Lotus has been keeping watch over their rival organization, the Red Lotus, where its members — led by Zaheer — were jailed in the White Lotus prisons.
