Jumbo was once known as the most famous elephant in the world. This exhibit explores the elephant's life, legacy and mysterious circumstances leading to his death 140 years ago.

The 19-year-old elephant will be part of the breeding program at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, which recently expanded its elephant enclosure to include seven acres in a naturalized habitat.
