Reportedly, Sony will be making one last shipment of its PSOne & LCD Monitor bundle, which is scheduled to arrive in stores in August. The bundle retails for 18,000 yen ($166).

The official LCD monitor and speakers for Sony's PSone console, which made it possible to play the diminutive system without a TV attached, is set to be discontinued by the company later this summer.

Meanwhile, the PSOne and LCD monitor bundle will be priced at 18,000 yen ($140), down from the original price of 24,000 yen ($187). The price change goes into effect on May 16 in Japan.

The company is already responsible for unofficial LCD addons for PSOne, and evidently these were a success - one it hopes to repeat with the new GameCube addon, called Mobile Monitor 5.4.
