Tosa Inus, a Japanese breed, have the strongest bite force of any dog, at approximately 556-743 PSI. Bred for dog fighting, Tosa Inus are powerful and tenacious.

In each case the bite forces increased as expected, but they did not increase to the level of the adult T. rex, suggesting that it had the most powerful bite of any terrestrial animal.

Another gentle giant, the Leonberger is most likely to use its 399 psi bite to chew sticks, toys - and maybe its owner's shoes. The Rottweiler's jaws are capable of delivering a bite of up to 328 psi.
