New Norfolk State head coach Michael Vick has already made a splash in the transfer portal, landing a former top high school quarterback to join his program.

Michael Vick and Norfolk State land another former FBS quarterback as the quarterback competition heats up for the Spartans.

Michael Vick apparently has started to fill his staff as he prepares for his first season as Norfolk State’s head football coach.

Norfolk State University offered new head football coach Michael Vick an annual base salary of $400,000, according to a report from the Virginian-Pilot. Well above the $240K agreed on by former head coach Dawson Odums who Vick replaced after going 15-30 in the previous four seasons.

Vick will be NSU's head coach for the next four years, according to his contract, with the possibility to extend at least one year.
