Washington, D.C.'s NFL franchise is set to return to the nation's capital as part of an agreement between the organization and the District of Columbia government to build a new stadium.

Maryland leaders said the Washington Commanders are committed to ensuring Prince George’s County will not be left with “blight” when the NFL team leaves its current stadium.

Scripps News Group reported Monday that Mayor Muriel Bowser and Commanders Managing Partner Josh Harris announced a deal to build a new state-of-the-art stadium on the RFK campus.
