Learn More Google’s Android development environment is getting a Gemini makeover of sorts. The company is announcing that Gemini 1.5 Pro will arrive on Android Studio later this year.

This is a pretty significant update for how Android apps are built, tested, and rolled out to the Play Store. Android Studio Narwhal (2025.2.1) has deep integration with Gemini 2.5 Pro models.

The Wear OS 5.1 developers’ toolkit is available in the official Android Studio emulator, allowing developers to test their apps on this new version.
