The codeable robot dog from Educational Insights, on display this week at CES, teaches kids to program in the kid-friendly Blockly language, as well as the more sophisticated Python.
This is done using Blockly, a visual programming editor, and you can click on a button at any time to see the colorful blocks of code turn into the basic Javascript that is driving the program.
Using Blockly, programmers will chain various commands together to make Alex or Steve move around the world and perform various tasks such as shearing sheep or planting crops.
