Burmese pythons have been rampant in South Florida since the 1990s, when they started breeding in the Everglades.

More than 6,300 pounds of Burmese python were tracked and removed by the team over the past year.

Turtle Back Zoo will hold its Family Fun Nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout July and August, extending evening hours for visitors.
