CHILDREN as young as four will be taught about digital technology in Queensland schools as the government phases in the next wave of digital reform.

“Coding and robotics are considered integral components of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education for their potential to develop 21st-century skills,” said Vorster.

The inclusion of coding and robotics supports and complements other STEM subjects, such as computer applications technology, maths, physical sciences and information technology in grades four to nine.
