The UMass Athletic Department is working on rewarding the student $10,000 after he sunk a half-court shot Wednesday night.

A UMass student thought he won $10,000 during a halftime contest at a women’s basketball game, only to find out he wasn’t going to get the money over a technicality.

Lee says UMass staff reviewed the footage before they sent it off to the insurance company and noticed he put his foot on the half-court line.
