GANDER, N.L. — Two military members were in hospital Thursday evening after a search and rescue helicopter crashed at 9 Wing Gander air force base in central Newfoundland, officials said.
The Air Force said that at 7:40, the B-52 crew told the base’s RAPCON that it was heading towards the fairgrounds, roughly two miles southeast of the Minot airport.
