Created by a team of eight engineering bachelor students at Switzerland's ETH Zurich research institute, the quadruped robot is inspired by the wall- and ceiling-climbing capabilities of the gecko.

This new robot is quadruped, meaning it stands on four feet, which may not exactly be reminiscent of a spider, but this arachnid-like machine can fly with no jet engines.
