EDMONTON -- Legends don't come around every day. At this point in his career, Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid is entering legendary status. Or he's at least putting together a convincing argument for being in that category.

The Edmonton Oilers overcame two deficits in Minnesota Wednesday to register a 5-3 win, behind the timely goaltending of Calvin Pickard. The Wild shot out to a deserved 2-0 lead as the Oilers got into penalty trouble. But they replied 21 seconds after that, two inside of 1:56.

With two goals and one assist, Connor McDavid willed the Oilers to victory, passing Jari Kurri for second on the Oilers all-time scoring list with 1,044 points in the process. Wayne Gretzky is first with 1,669 points as an Oiler.
