"Pete Rose Night" will be held on Wednesday, May 14, against the Chicago White Sox. All fans in attendance will receive a No. 14 Pete Rose jersey, a replica of the road uniform worn by Pete when the Big Red Machine celebrated its World Series Championships in 1975 in Boston and again in 1976 in New York.

The Reds will honor Pete Rose with a special patch with the No. 14 on the sleeve of their jerseys this season. Hall of Famer Barry Larkin loves Rose and he's happy the Reds are honoring him by wearing the patch on their uniforms.

Cincinnati Reds manager Terry Francona might be Pete Rose's strongest supporter in the game, in part because of a personal moment in 1984.

The former heir apparent to Johnny Bench in Cincinnati, whose major league career began with the Reds in 1982 and ended with the Orioles in 1987, has died.
