Deni Avdija scored 26 points, Shaedon Sharpe added 21 and the Portland Trail Blazers led from start to finish in a 119-100 victory over the struggling New Orleans Pelicans.

Avdija (ankle) is out for Tuesday's game against the Nets, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.

The road from now until the All-Star break in four weeks is treacherous. The Blazers conclude their home stand with Houston (27-13) on Saturday night, followed by a Sunday game against the Chicago Bulls (18-23).

The Portland Trail Blazers still think they can make a run to the playoffs. It's not going to be easy for them, as they sit at 13th in the Western Conference standings. They clearly have some work to do if they are going to be able to stack up enough wins to make that happen.

Anfernee Simons scored 28 points and Deni Avdija 19 as the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 105-102 on Saturday night.
