Longtime "Daredevil" fans are devastated over the loss of one of the original characters in the premiere of "Daredevil: Born Again"

Daredevil: Born Again fans were shocked after seeing a major death in the debut episode, but the EP said the character could still return.

It was brilliant to see so many Daredevil characters return for Born Again's double-premiere, but one reprise came with a shocking and tragic twist.

The first episode of Daredevil: Born Again opens to a celebratory setting with Matt, Karen and Foggy at Josie’s bar. But that does not last long as Benjamin ‘Dex’ Poindexter also known as Bullseye is looking to seek revenge. Foggy gets a call from a client apologizing for giving information on him to Bullseye.

Born Again’s first episode.] Knowing something is coming doesn’t make it any easier to accept when it happens. That’s how I felt watching Daredevil: Born Again kill off Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) in the opening scene.

Born Again premiere.] Matt Murdock knows loss. As a boy, Matt lost his eyesight in the accident that left him with heightened senses. His father, boxer Battlin’ Jack Murdock, was shot and killed for refusing to throw a fixed fight in the ring.

Daredevil: Born Again is staying true to the title as the first two episodes of Disney+’s rebirth for the former Netflix series pave a new path for returning adversaries Matt Murdock ( Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk ( Vincent D’Onofrio ).
