TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Malique Ewin scored a career-high 26 points and Florida State defeated SMU 76-69 on Saturday to give Leonard Hamilton a win in his final game coaching the Seminoles in Donald L. Tucker Center.

Leonard Hamilton has been at Florida State since 2002 and has been a head basketball coach at the collegiate level since 1986, when he got his start with Oklahoma State.

Florida State lost a high-scoring affair to the North Carolina Tar Heels on Monday night, losing 96-85 at home. FSU was in it for most of the game, but an injury to one of their best players made it difficult for them to have success.

With the Seminoles on the road facing off against the Blue Devils in one of Leonard Hamilton's final games, Krzyzewski offered a major compliment to the Florida State head coach. Krzyzewski highlighted Hamilton's impact on hundreds of players over the last two decades in Tallahassee.
