A total of four Kentucky alums have been named to the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. After Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) and Karl-Anthony Towns (NYK) were voted as two of the 10 starters last week, two more former Wildcats were announced as reserves by the NBA on TNT crew Thursday night.

Over a span of 56 NBA All-Star games, 20 UK men's basketball alum have been selected to participate. The two join Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Karl-Anthony Towns, who were named all-stars last week.

The NBA has announced the list of Eastern and Western Conference All-Star reserves and there are some big names on the sheet.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis was named a Western Conference reserve for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.

It was reported by The Miami Herald that just like coming off his earlier seven-game suspension, Butler will play after his tw0-game suspension that ended with Saturday's win over the Brooklyn Nets. Miami still has “remained opposed to sending Butler home while paying him.”

Jaylen Brown was announced Thursday as one of the seven All-Star reserves from the Eastern Conference. It was the third straight All-Star nod and fourth in the last five years for Brown, who will join East starter Jayson Tatum at the midseason showcase in San Francisco on Feb. 16.

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun was selected as an All-Star reserve tonight on the NBA on TNT pregame show. Sengun, at 21 years old, joins seven other players on the Western Conference All-Star bench, along with 23 other All-Stars this season.
