Jordi Fernandez has stepped down as the head coach of the Canadian seniors men’s national basketball team, it was announced on Thursday.

While Fernandez was absent last offseason, the Nets formed a “robust” offseason program for players, led by assistants Steve Hetzel and Juwan Howard.

Fernández's departure leaves a hole at the top of one of the more talented rosters on the international stage.
