Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell congratulated President-elect Donald Trump and outlined his hopes for a Republican-controlled Senate, including keeping the filibuster. McConnell will step down from Senate leadership at the end of the current Congress term and will not seek re-election in 2026.
