President Donald Trump says his 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico are coming on Saturday. Trump also said he'll "probably” decide on Thursday night whether to include oil from those countries as part of his import taxes.

U.S. President Donald Trump still plans to make good on his promise to issue tariffs on Canada and Mexico on Saturday, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said on Tuesday.

Though the United States is the global leader in designing chips, the vast majority of chip production happens overseas, particularly in U.S.-ally Taiwan.

After promising during his election campaign to impose an immediate barrage of tariffs on US imports, President Donald Trump has reiterated his plans to begin with 25% levies on imports from Canada and Mexico on Feb.
