“I have Count Orlok’s prosthetic penis framed at home,” Hoult told co-star Lily-Rose Depp. “There’s a scene where Bill Skarsgård is slurping my blood, and Robert Eggers asked afterwards, ‘How was that for you?’… And I said, ‘I could feel his prosthetic penis on my leg.’”

Before his debut as Lex Luthor, before he's menaced by Nosferatu, before he was Nux in Mad Max: Fury Road or Beast in the X-Men movies, Nicholas Hoult tried and failed to get into Hogwarts.

It wasn’t enough for Count Orlok’s prosthetic penis to be in its natural form. The special prop piece had an actual frame, which the actor says later broke. This meant he legitimately had to take the Nosferatu prop to again be framed in all of its glory and this is when the additional hilarity ensued:

Talking to Digital Spy, Hoult – who plays Thomas Hutter – recalled a terrifying experience filming a scene with Czech shepherd dogs who had the job of running after a scared Thomas in Count Orlok's castle.

The actor will star alongside Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgård, Willem Dafoe and Emma Corrin in the horror drama film set to release on Christmas Day
