PAUL - Minnesota Wild center Marco Rossi earned the NHL's first star of the week honors. Rossi, 23, had three goals, five assists, and eight points for the Wild in three games. He opened the week with two goals and an assist against the Nashville Predators and followed it up with a late goal against the Washington Capitals.

Wild center Marco Rossi has been named the NHL's First Star of the Week after scoring three goals and five assists in three Minnesota wins last week. Rossi bagged two goals and an assist in the team's 5-3 win over Nashville on New Year's Eve. His assist in the second period was the Wild's go-ahead goal in the game.

Dreams deferred and deals denied came to define the Ducks during their absence from the postseason, which began in 2019, but a reshaped roster, renewed commitment to its talent and the NHL’s Second Star of the Week have all provided promise of late.

Minnesota centre Marco Rossi, Anaheim right-wing Troy Terry and Los Angeles goaltender Darcy Kuemper have been named the NHL’s three stars of the week.

The Ducks forward was joined by Los Angeles Kings goalie Darcy Kuemper as the Third Star and Minnesota Wild center Marco Rossi as the First Star of the Week ending in January 5th.
