Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reportedly sounded out his preferred centre-forward target for the summer transfer window. The Gunners have been criticised for their lack of end product in the final third, having opted against signing a striker in either of this season’s transfer windows.

Following the departure of sporting director Edu, Arteta will be working with his successor Andrea Berta to strengthen his squad in areas that have particularly suffered in the past few months as they try to "evolve the team".
