After upgrading Butler to questionable for Sunday’s game at Indiana, the Heat on Sunday morning downgraded Butler to out for the Pacers game. The expectation is that Butler will make his return on Monday night at home against Philadelphia, but there’s no guarantee of that.

Miami star Jimmy Butler could rejoin the lineup when the Heat conclude a six-game road trip against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. Butler has missed three straight games with a sprained right ankle, but the six-time All-Star is traveling with the team and worked out on the court prior to Friday's 124-111 win over the Pacers.

Butler suffered the injury early in Miami's loss to the Denver Nuggets on Nov. 8, where he only played seven minutes, scoring two points, recording two assists, and collecting one rebound. So far this season, Butler has averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game while shooting 47.8 percent from the field.

For the second time in as many games, the Miami Heat will face the Indiana Pacers in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Much like the first meeting between the teams, Jimmy Butler is the key name on the injury report as he continues to deal with a right ankle sprain.
