An 8-year-old was injured after an accidental shooting in Harlan County, according to police. Detectives immediately knew they were dealing with a professional hit. The criminals had riddled the taxi with some 40 bullets, yet stole nothing from the dying driver and passenger.

BLEDSOE, Ky. (WATE) — An 8-year-old child was shot off Highway 221 in Harlan County early Sunday, Kentucky State Police reported. The shooting occurred Sunday at 1 a.m. in the Bledsoe community. The child was taken to Harlan ARH then transferred to the University of Kentucky Hospital.

The child was first taken to Harlan ARH Hospital before being transferred to UK Hospital in Lexington for further treatment.
