Authorities paused the search for a missing Colorado woman on Friday because of the conditions on the Clark Fork River.

Search and rescue crews are combing the Clark Fork River in Missoula for Danit Ehrlich who was reported missing last week.

Officials in Missoula, Montana, have been searching for a Colorado woman and her dog, who were reported missing on Feb. 22 after they were last seen at a Missoula dog park on Feb. 21.

Spokane is just under 200 miles (317 km) from Missoula.Ehrlich’s father emigrated to the United States from Israel decades ago, Spillman noted.Friends would describe Danit as caring, consistent, adventurous and always down for a good time.

Police determined Ehrlich and her dog, Bamba, likely drowned, but are continuing their recovery efforts as of Feb. 24.
