Auburn played just one game last week, scoring a 79-56 win over Kent State. Given just the one win, Auburn didn’t see nearly as big of a jump in the rankings as it did after beating Houston, going from No. 11 to No. 5.

As their undefeated start to the season continues, including a win against a top-five opponent, the Auburn Tigers made another jump in the AP Poll.. Auburn checks in at No. 4 this week - one spot higher than their previous ranking. The Tigers improved to 3-0 with a 79-56 win over the Kent State Golden Flashes on Wednesday.

Kevin Young will have to wait at least another week for his first appearance in the AP rankings. BYU received 27 total votes in Monday’s poll, landing just four spots outside of the top 25. The Cougars earned 26 votes a week ago but were seven teams away from an official ranking.
