Nearly every game from the first Switch generation will be compatible with Switch 2, but there's one noteworthy exception.

Thanks to the Nintendo Direct yesterday, we know that Fortnite is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. It will have upgraded graphics, too.

Fortnite will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 5 June 2025.

Epic Games will release a Switch 2 version of Fortnite alongside the hardware’s launch on June 5, the company announced.
