A series of small earthquakes rattled the San Francisco Bay Area late Thursday morning, adding another challenge to what is already a busy day battling nature in the region.

The epicenter for all the quakes was about one mile east of Hayward, in San Francisco’s East Bay, according to the U.S. Geological Survey

Officials with the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed four earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.7 to 3.7 hit in the East Bay over the course of Thursday.
