If a query (against objects, not against a DB) gets so large that it looks better in query syntax I don't think it's a good idea to do that, I think it's *too large* and needs decomposition.

An example: I was trying to search, using Windows 7 Search, a directory of 258 PDFs for a specific term last Friday. I have the latest Adobe Acrobat installed, so it has the PDF IFilter.
