Microsoft has announced the public preview launch of Visual Studio Code for the Web, a browser-based version of its free and cross-platform VS Code integrated development environment (IDE).

With 14 million users, Microsoft's open source cross-platform code editor Visual Studio Code is one of its key tools for keeping developers engaged with its future in the cloud.

A preview version of an Arm native version of Visual Studio 2022 will be available “in the next few weeks” and is expected to ship fully later this year alongside Arm64 .NET support.
