Police officials in Gloucester Township have shared footage in the hopes of tracking down a man who, they say, stole more than $1,000 worth of sweaters from a Polo Ralph Lauren store.

The sweater detective is always a police officer because, unlike a private eye, a police detective is meant to be the agent of a social order the series will eventually lead us to doubt.
