The last film of the original series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, was released nearly a decade ago in the fall of 2015, but in recent years the franchise has expanded.

Glenn Close and Billy Porter are also among the star-studded cast in the upcoming "Hunger Games" prequel movie "Sunrise on the Reaping," as confirmed by Lionsgate on June 16.
