The new and updated The Little Mermaid songs have arrived. On Friday, Disney debuted the soundtrack for its live-action re-imagining of the 1989 animated film before it hits theaters next week.

The production took an unexpected turn when award-winning composer and North Salem resident Alan Menken, who wrote the music for “The Little Mermaid,” surprised the cast during rehearsal.
