Around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Kershaw County emergency response teams and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) were called for a drowning in the Tail Race just under the Wateree Dam.
There was a 911 call about a drowning, and emergency responders learned there were two victims, the coroner’s office said.
