A plane at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport hit another aircraft that was taxiing on the runway Wednesday morning, the Federal Aviation Administration has confirmed.

The Japan Airlines flight had just touched down in Seattle from Tokyo and was taxiing when its right wing struck the tail of a Delta Air Lines flight, officials said.

A Delta spokesperson said its Boeing 737 was waiting to have ice removed from its exterior when the wing tip of another aircraft reportedly made contact with its tail.
