Roblox reported revenue of $588.7 million during the first nine months of 2020, a 68 percent increase over the same period in 2019. The company has spent a lot more money as it’s grown, though.

Online gaming platform and game developer Roblox Corp. filed a preliminary prospectus for an initial public offering with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday.

Then all the kids jumped into Roblox for an hour or so and played Epic Minigames, an array of competitions featuring things like pet penguins and dodgeball. Much laughter and giddiness ensued.
