I’ve zeroed in on Codecademy and Coursera here because both offer high-quality courses in a variety of programming languages that you can take for free. However, they are different.
This five-month set of four courses is aimed at newcomers to programming. It is not as full-out completist as some of the other courses here. It doesn’t cover the use of C in Linux, for instance.
