Pieces of wreckage from the American Airlines flight that crashed into a helicopter above the Potomac River have been removed from the water. On Monday, crews from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers used large cranes to remove the wreckage of the jet that was part of the deadliest U.

Officials said the bodies of several victims remain in the plane's fuselage and their "dignified" removal is a main priority.
