A new set of images gives us an early look at the slimmer PlayStation 5. The console is slimmer and shorter than the original PS5, but it comes with an optional detachable disc drive.

According to every photo and video we've seen, the original white PS5 design has a minimalist white-on-white inset logo on its inside panel, so we'd probably see a black logo on a black model.

Naturally this should be taken with a grain of salt. The image only shows the top half of what looks very much like the original PS5. The most noticeable difference is a split in the cover plates.
