Ducks Unlimited Canada is trying out a natural type of fish ladder at McCarrick's Marsh in P.E.I. If it withstands another winter, the fish ladder could be a design model going forward.

To match this ladder design, you'll make two vertical grooves in the door with lateral "rungs" spanning them. Measure the vertical grooves to be equidistant from their respective sides.
