Had the LCD screen replaced on my Dell and I'm noticing an odd "mottled" patten on the lower 1/3 of the display. Kinda like a faint brushed aluminum texture over everything.

On the monitor, it's very uniform and isn't tied to the window of course - when you move it the pattern is static. On the Mac, it's visible at "looks like 2880x1620" resolution, not at any of the ...
