While wandering through Sherwood Forest, Robin comes across his Uncle Edgar, who claims to have been looking for him as it appears that Robin's father - the Earl of Huntingdon - is in great danger.

Robert of Huntingdon and the reformed group of outlaws determine to rescue Marion from Clun, and Huntingdon eventually assumes the mantle of Robin of Sherwood.
