Samsung unveiled a newer GDDR6W memory standard that can deliver up to twice the performance, memory capacity, and memory bandwidth as compared to the standard GDDR6 and GDDR6X modules.

In context: As manufacturers continue to squeeze every last drop of performance out of current GDDR6 and GDDR6X memory modules, Samsung has announced a new and improved entry to the family --- GDDR6W.

The latest GDDR6X memory, available only from Micron, features twice the capacity and up to 15% higher performance over the previous 8Gb version.
