According to Tez2 (X/@TezFunz2), a renowned insider, before Rockstar’s acquisition, a group named “Groot Gang” was trying to acquire FiveM and remove NTAuthority, the founder of FiveM.
The original FiveM team, led by NTAuthority, and hereby referred to as the CFX team, were replaced by Groot Gang and alt:V, two other developer teams who are the people running FiveM today.
